“HANDS ACROSS HARBORCREEK“
Sunday, October 4 @ 12:15p.m.
Can you believe it has almost been 1 year since the members of our church held hands praying for peace in front of our church?
We are promoting Praying for Peace this year on Sunday, October 4th, reaching out to our Harborcreek community to join us at our church or at their own church.
Last year on World Wide Communion/Peace Sunday we formed lines on both sides of the road in front of the church, posted signs saying “Pray For Peace”, held hands for five minutes and sang “Let There Be Peace On Earth”. The event received local TV news coverage.
This year, due to the virus, we will form “socially distanced” lines, wearing our masks along Buffalo Road and place our own hands in the symbol of praying. We are asking our church members and neighbors to join us for the (OUTDOOR?) worship service and then show our community faith in front of the church for a 5-minute prayer vigil. The congregation is encouraged to make their own signs to hold as the traffic flows by showing where our prayerful hearts are focused.
Please plan to join us and the Harborcreek Community to Pray for Peace on this special PEACE Sunday, October 4 rain or shine.
