Palm Sunday, April 2
9:15 a.m.
We begin with celebrating Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem, then we will move into a cantata by our chancel choir “Walk Worthy.”
Come and be blessed by word and song.
Maundy Thursday, April 6
6:30 p.m.
Join us as we remember our connection with our Jewish ancestors through a Seder Meal at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at 3520 Perry Street, Erie. “Maundy” comes from the Latin word for commandment. On this night we remember Jesus’ last meal with his disciples and his commandment that we “Love each other.”
The service will include a special celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Good Friday, April 7
7:00 p.m.
We gather to remember the passion of our Lord through a Tenebrae Service. Tenebrae, an ancient Good Friday service, increases darkness by gradually extinguishing candles to symbolize the coming darkness of Jesus’ death.
Easter—Resurrection Sunday,
April 9 at 9:15 a.m.
The Day of Resurrection!
Come and rejoice in Christ’s victory over death. Our service will include special music and a celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
